The show was set to play on November 3.

MANILA, Philippines – It looks like fans of Avril Lavigne will just have to wait a little longer to catch the Canadian singer-songwriter play her long-overdue Manila show.

The show was recently scheduled for November 3 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, after being pushed back from a May 2 schedule. It was originally scheduled for May 20, 2020, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In a statement posted on producer Wilbros Live’s Facebook page on Saturday, October 15, Avril said that the November 3 show will be postponed yet again to 2023, along with her scheduled stop in Hong Kong.

Addressing her fans in Hong Kong and Manila she said “due to travel and scheduling logistics, I am unable to make these shows happen. I am heartbroken about not being able to make it as I know these shows have been sold out for some time.” Wilbros clarified that the show is not cancelled, and that a new date for the Manila show will be announced “very soon.” Existing tickets will still be valid for the new date, but they gave contact information for those who want to refund or change their tickets. –
