The increase in consumerism within Australia has led to an increase in people storing items.

Queensland University of Technology Professor Gary Mortimer says “a lot of what we store is a direct result of what we’ve accumulated over many years”.

“Obviously there’s a real connection to things we’ve received or purchased,” Mr Mortimer told Sky News Australia.
