Many times, note-taking is nothing but transferring the contents of the teacher's notebook to those of the students, without anything happening in the brains of any — and that is just disastrous!Third, there are no shortcuts, no detours when it comes to studying. All study is arduous. The Latin word for 'to learn' is 'discere' and it will not be too difficult to see how it relates to 'discipline' — there is no learning without discipline.
