The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday said it is finalizing the security measures that will be imposed for the observance of the Holy Week.

We expect bago matapos ang linggong ito ay ilalatag na po natin ang ating seguridad,” PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo said in a press conference.
She added that the PNP will initially deploy 34,000 police personnel across the country to terminals, airports, and seaports, but the number will be increased if needed.Regional directors have the discretion to increase their deployment and raise their alert level status.This week, an interagency meeting with the management of terminals will be conduct to ensure smooth travel for the people going to provinces.
