The local government of Asturias, Cebu recently earned the ire of netizens after videos of impounded dogs allegedly neglected went viral.
A video of five to six stray dogs eating their own kind in a supposed shelter in one of the towns here in Cebu is making rounds online. According to a netizen who refused to be named, the dogs were rescued from the streets in pursuance to the local government’s dog care and anti-rabies ordinance. The netizen said the dogs were abandoned in a secluded area all hungry and unattended. Around three dead dogs were shared as a meal by the other canines.
