Jiu-jitsu fighter Annie Ramirez was recognized in her home province of Camarines Sur, for her gold medal at the 19th Asian Games, which were held in Hangzhou, China.

On Tuesday, Ramirez posted a photo via Instagram of the provincial government council's Resolution No. 243, which commended and congratulated her achievements.'Thank you very much for your warm welcome, I am glad to stand in front of you and share my experience for the young athletes of CamSur.

I hope I was able to inspire you,' Ramirez wrote in Filipino on Instagram.In addition, she had also received an incentive of P300,000 from the provincial government.During the 19th Asian Games, Ramirez defeated Kazakhstan's Galina Duvanova to capture the Philippines' 3rd gold medal of the Games, hours before Gilas Pilipinas defeated Jordan to capture their first men's basketball gold since 1962.
