The Anti-Red Tape Authority and key government agencies and stakeholders extended a memorandum of understanding on responsible mining in response to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s call for a more stable and sustainable mining industry.
“Responsible mining is essential for ensuring that economic gains benefit both the nation and future generations. By working together, we can achieve a sector that prioritizes sustainability and social equity,” said Yulo-Loyzaga. “This extension and expansion align with President Marcos Jr.’s vision of a mining industry that harmonizes mineral extraction with environmental protection,” he said.
