TROOPS from the Philippine Army’s 3rd Infantry Division were deployed for humanitarian assistance and disaster response operations across Western Visayas and the Negros Island Region following the onslaught of Tropical Storm Crising.In Antique, soldiers from the 61st Infantry Battalion and Cafgu Active Auxiliaries under Delta Company joined barangay officials and volunteers in road clearing operations in Barangay Importante, Tibiao, on July 17, 2025.
On July 17, troops helped the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office in clearing flood-hit roads in Barangay Tambad, Cauayan, and Barangay Mambaroto, Sipalay City.The next day, they assisted in emergency evacuation and relief delivery in Sitio Patay, Barangay Camugao, Kabankalan City, which was submerged due to continuous heavy rain.Other 3ID line units in less-affected areas were placed on standby for rapid deployment.Major General Michael G.
