Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo M. Año insisted that all road clearing operations in the country apply to all, regardless of political affiliation.

He issued the statement as he warned the local chief executives to shape up vowing the strict implementation of the road clearing operation in all local government units .

Together with Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte and other government officials, Año led the demolition of the barangay hall of Damalang Lagi, and the Philippine National Police Traffic Sector 1, DTEU Station. He hopes that local chief executives from all over the Philippines will follow suit and be inspired by the revolution Metro Manila mayors are implementing within their jurisdiction.
