Angels sweep Defenders for second win in PVL

Petro Gazz survived Gerflor’s late rally to prevail 25-11, 25-4, 25-23 in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference at the Batangas City Sports Coliseum on Saturday, Oct. 21.

The Angels turned to Nicole Tiamzon in the crunch to sweep the Defenders and clinch their second straight victory in as many outings.

With the Angels leading 22-20, Danika Gendrauli stepped up for the Defenders by draining back-to-back kills to tie the match at 22-all. But the Angels did not want to waste more time as Tiamzon continued her assault with the needed kill that sealed their victory.
