THE Angeles City government was cited for the first time as the Best LGU Dog Pound/Animal Shelter by the Department of Agriculture Field Office 3.The city under Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. was cited behind its free spay and neuter program which was successfully concluded. A total of 1,744 pets were spayed or neutered without any untoward incidents.Since Lazatin launched the free neutering and spaying program in 2020, a total of 5,973 pets received free spaying and neutering.
Christian Arcilla, is part of the ongoing efforts to control the unwanted animal population in the city which has been an effective strategy for animal birth control since it was implemented.'The city government remains committed to promoting responsible pet ownership among Angeleño households. Through our free programs, including spaying, neutering, and anti-rabies vaccinations, we aim to ensure the health and well-being of our pets and the community,' said Lazatin.
