As the shortage of classrooms continues to hinder schools nationwide, Education Secretary Sonny Angara on Monday said he sees the improving blended learning system as a way to address the problem.Angara said institutionalizing blended learning as a permanent mode of learning in the country is one of the options that could help prevent further learning losses as students suffer from lack of classrooms and whenever there are class suspensions caused by severe weather.
“Eh ‘pagka may gano’ng disaster o sakuna, mayroon tayong magandang sistema sa blended learning, at ipa-prioritize natin ‘yung mga schools na may shortages na lang,” he added.Blended learning is a learning delivery modality which combines face-to-face with any or a combination of online distance learning, modular distance learning and TV/radio-based instruction.
