Angara lauds signing into law of bill institutionalizing student fare discounts

Senator Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara on Monday welcomed the signing into law of the “Student Fare Discount Act” or the measure that institutionalizes student fare discounts for all modes of transportation.

President Rodrigo Duterte signed the bill as Republic Act No. 11314 on April 17, but was only released to the media recently.

He said the law covers all forms of transportation—from land transportation like jeepneys, buses, UV express vans, taxis and transportation network vehicle services , air, water and rail .
