The powerful post-tropical storm carried maximum sustained winds of 150 km/h-equivalent to a category one hurricane as Fiona landed in the province.
As Fiona made landfall, we also broke a record. The barometric pressure near 932 millibars recorded in Hart Island, N.S., is now the lowest unofficial barometric pressure recorded on land anywhere in Canada.
