An alleged top drug personality in Davao City was killed after a shootout with police during a law enforcement operation before dawn on Friday, authorities said.
Police cordon off an area in Barrio Pampanga, Davao City where an alleged shootout happened before dawn Friday after a drug bust against John Roy Badayos, 26, said to be on the city’s list of drug suspects. Badayos was killed in the incident.
DAVAO CITY — An alleged top drug personality in this city was killed after a shootout with police during a law enforcement operation before dawn on Friday, authorities said. John Roy delos Santos Badayos died from bullet wounds while being treated at a hospital after a gunfight with lawmen outside a bar in Pampanga village in this city around 12:30 a.m., said Captain Hazel Tuazon, city police spokesperson.
The 26-year-old construction worker from Upper D.A, Barangay Pampanga, was listed as a high-value individual.
