The Ottawa Redblacks dipped their toes into CFL free agency early Tuesday, signing former Hamilton Tiger Cats defensive back Cariel Brooks to a one\u002Dyear deal.
Brooks, 31, a Miami native, has spent five seasons in the CFL. Brooks, 5-10 and 200 pounds, originally signed as an undrafted free agent with the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals after graduating from Adams State. His first taste of the CFL came as a practice roster player for the Toronto Argonauts in 2017, before moving on to Hamilton.
