The Ottawa Redblacks dipped their toes into CFL free agency early Tuesday, signing former Hamilton Tiger Cats defensive back Cariel Brooks to a one\u002Dyear deal.
Brooks, 31, a Miami native, has spent five seasons in the CFL. During his 70-game career with the Ticats, Brooks has registered 207 tackles, a pair of sacks and 12 interceptions, helping lead Hamilton to the Grey Cup game in 2019 and 2021.
