LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – The municipal government of Polangui in Albay province opened on Saturday, September 21, the P90-million Polangui Integrated Transport Terminal at the Diversion Road in Barangay Ubaliw.
Polangui Mayor Adrian Salceda said that the terminal is the most modern between Legazpi City in Albay and Naga City in Camarines Sur province.
"The main goal was Polangui to have the most modern, pinakamaganda at pinaka-modernong terminal between Legazpi and Naga. Gusto ko magpasalamat unang-una sa tulong ng aking uncle, si Congressman Joey Salceda, kasi kung wala ang tulong niya hindi mangyayari itong Polangui Integrated Terminal," Mayor Salceda said.
The project was built by the Department of Public Works and Highways -Third Engineering District and funded by the General Appropriations Act through the efforts of Rep. Joey Salceda. It was also constructed in time for the expiration of the present terminal’s contract in 2026.
