MANILA, Philippines — UAAP stars Bella Belen and Angel Canino are always up for an intense showdown on the collegiate volleyball stage.
Leading the charge for their respective universities, National University , and De La Salle University , the two young guns suited up for Alas Pilipinas and want to bring out the best of each other. The UAAP Season 86 MVP shared how it feels to team up with one of her foes. 'Very happy, since I am with Angel in the national team. Of course, we are rivals in UAAP, and now we are teammates. I think our connection will be better once we have more training.
All is okay, but of course, we fell short. I think we can really match up with Vietnam, we just really had to prepare more in our matches,' Belen said. For the DLSU stalwart, Canino also shared how she was really excited about teaming up with Belen. 'Actually I am so happy, I'd rather choose to team up with Bella, and it's been so long that I wanted to play with Bella and now that we are teammates I am just glad to share this court with her.
