Noor Ainaa Amani Ampandi's current form suggests that she is on the right path.

Ainaa, who won her first PSA title at the Hong Kong Challenge Cup last month, defeated India’s Tanvi Khanna 12-10, 6-11, 11-5, 11-5 in the quarter-finals.

“I don’t want to think too much about the Challenge Cup where I beat her . I want to play good squash and secure my place in the final,” said Amani.Doing well in the tournament will be a confidence booster for Ainaa, who has a bigger task in Birmingham from April 12-14 where she will be playing in the qualifiers.

The top four are men’s world No. 23 Ng Eain Yow, and women’s trio of Rachel Arnold , Aifa Azman and S. Sivasangari . In the Birmingham qualifiers, Ainaa will have a tricky first-round match against Nour Heikal of Egypt and is expected to meet Germany’s Saskia Beinhard in the second round.
