Tropical Depression “Aghon” has maintained its strength and continues to move west-northwestward over Sibuyan Sea.
The cyclone is moving at 20 kilometers per hour with maximum sustained winds of 45 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph west-northwestward to northwestward over Sibuyan Sea and Tayabas Bay. “As it moves over the Philippine Sea, the tropical cyclone is forecast to continuously intensify and may reach typhoon category on Wednesday,” it said.
PAGASA said Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal 1 remained hoisted over Aurora, the eastern portion of Nueva Ecija, the eastern portion of Bulacan, Metro Manila, Quezon including Pollilo Islands, Romblon, Laguna, Rizal, Oriental Mindoro, Batangas, Sorsogon, Albay, Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, and Masbate including Ticao and Burias Islands.
