“We have no information on the alleged Egyptian couple in cahoots with local terrorist Abu Sayyaf Group in IED [improvised explosive device] explosions in Sulu as what was reportedly revealed by an ‘academic analyst on terrorism,'” Arevalo told reporters. “They are here to conduct intermittent bombing operations,” Banlaoi was quoted as saying in the forum.

Major General Cirilito Sobejana, commander of the Western Mindanao Command , said the information released by Banlaoi was not validated.“We are doing our best to find out with our intelligence operatives at our network, hindi pa validated ‘yung information na ‘yan ,” he added.
