Davao City—A new study indicated that farmers will reap more benefits from adding value to organic durian and cacao, according to a Korean-backed Filipino organization.
Buenaventura told the BusinessMirror that the project aims to produce and sell frozen durian, which fetches a higher price. During the first phase, farmers would be encouraged to form and consolidate their cooperative for Camp Asia and other organizations, including government to train and equip them on the necessary skills and knowledge in farm and cooperative management.
