MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The Adamson Lady Baby Falcons staved off the Bacolod Tay Tung Thunderbolts in the third set to hack out a 25-20, 25-5, 25-22 win in the final and complete a sweep of the Shakey's Girls Volleyball Invitational League Season 2 tournament at their home turf Adamson University Gym on Sunday.
MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The Adamson Lady Baby Falcons staved off the Bacolod Tay Tung Thunderbolts in the third set to hack out a 25-20, 25-5, 25-22 win in the final and complete a sweep of the Shakey's Girls Volleyball Invitational League Season 2 tournament at their home turf Adamson University Gym on Sunday.Felicity Sagaysay pulled off a 1-2 play to clinch it for Adamson , which stayed pristine in the tournament, not losing even a single set to go 6-0 in the competition.
After a rather competitive first set, the Lady Baby Falcons overpowered the Thunderbolts in the second frame with their strong service game before the latter put up a strong stand in the third.Sagaysay, Nitura, Lhouriz Tuddao, and Abegail Segui came through in the third set, though, to win it for Adamson which dominated Bacolod Tay Tung in attacks, 34-19.Tudao finished with 11 points while Segui chipped in 10, including seven in the third frame.
