Twelve familiar faces are officially joining the 24-member Philippine Senate, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said on Wednesday. READ:
Action star Robinhood Ferdinand “Robin” C. Padilla topped the race with 26.6 million votes, according to official results.
Former Public Works Secretary Mark A. Villar was No. 6 with 19.5 million, followed by Taguig-Pateros Rep. Alan Peter S. Cayetano , reelection Senators Juan Miguel F. Zubiri and Emmanuel Joel J. Villanueva , former Senator Joseph Victor G. Ejercito , Senator Ana Theresia “Risa” N. Hontiveros-Baraquel and former Senator Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada .
He promised to prioritize the economy, help the poor, revive tourism and support micro, small and medium enterprises during his Senate stint.
