Step one is collecting fees from its EV chargers within NCR
ACMobility has been on a roll in 2024. It started the year with just 20 EV charging stations in key urban areas, but as the year closes, ACMobility is on track to have over 250 charging points in 100 different stations all over the Philippines before the end of 2024.
ACMobility did not comment on how much it would cost to use its AC and DC stations once December rolls in, but rather focused on payment methods. As ACMobility works towards its goal of 100 charging stations by the end of 2024, a mobile charging station is also in the works—designed to bring the charging station to the driver. Dubbed ‘Power-on-Wheels,’ the project is set to deploy a fleet of electric vans equipped with DC chargers that should power up an EV from 20% to 80% in as fast as 45 minutes.
Created in collaboration with Power Up, Power-on-Wheels is slated to drive out in the latter part of Q1 next year. Power Up already has mobile charging units in Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.Finally, ACMobility ended its presentation with a gift to prospective BYD owners. Those who purchase a BYD car from November 1 to December 31 will receive a P1,500 charging credit.
