MANILA, Philippines — Barangay Ginebra rookie RJ Abarrientos and gunner Ralph Cu were tapped to join the short Gilas training on Tuesday at the Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna.

Gilas program director Alfrancis Chua confirmed the two Ginebra players joining the national squad as forward Troy Rosario recovers from a knee injury, while naturalized player Justin Brownlee rest his foot due to blister.'We will let Cu and Abarrientos join to complete practice while some get to rest,' Chua said in Filipino in a brief interview with media men at the sidelines on Monday during the unveiling of the PBA's 50th anniversary logo.

But Rosario managed to show up in training camp on Tuesday, his left knee draped by a kinesio tape, while shooting the basketball, which he posted in his Instagram story.Chua said players like Brownlee will get to rest for the moment to give them time to heal as Gilas prepares to play against Taiwan on February 20, followed by New Zealand on February 23 in two away games for the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers.
