Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benjamin ‘Benhur’ Abalos Jr. urged the local government units (LGUs) nationwide to extend the fullest support in the live stream of the President’s SONA on Monday, July 24.
Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin ‘Benhur’ Abalos Jr. urged the local government units nationwide to extend the fullest support in the live stream of the President’s state-of-the-nation address on Monday, July 24.
He told the LGUs to invite their constituents to attend the live stream coverage of the President’s SONA at the city or municipal halls, basketball courts or any available facility to give the public a chance to be informed on the government’s accomplishments and plan in the future for the country. “Further, LGUs may also use their LED Wll and post advocacy materials in conspicuous places in their areas for information of the residents,’’ Abalos noted.
With COVID-19 still existing, Abalos directed the LGUs to ensure the strict enforcement of ‘Executive Order No.07 dated Oct 28, 2022, allowing the voluntary wearing of face masks in indoor and outdoor settings while continuing the implementation of the of the minimum public health standards.
