984 new Covid cases, 218 additional deaths in Philippines
THE Department of Health reported Monday, November 22, 984 new cases of coronavirus disease and 218 additional deaths.Of the total confirmed cases, 19,798 or 0.7 percent have remained active, and majority or 56.6 percent of these active infections have mild symptoms, 4.6 percent were asymptomatic, 20.02 percent were moderate, 13.3 percent were severe and 5.6 percent were critical.
The health department said 447 duplicates were removed from the overall case count, including 434 recoveries and four deaths. Ninety-four cases were also found to have tested negative.It said that the country’s positivity rate remained at 2.8 percent. The DOH said these five laboratories contributed more or less 2.7 percent of the samples tested and 2.0 percent of individuals who tested positive, based on the data in the last 14 days.
