92 health units completed in Ilocos region this year – Villar

Ninety-two health units were constructed in various villages in Ilocos Region this year, providing better primary health facilities to the communities, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently announced.

The rural health facilities, according to Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar, were built in barangays in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan.

The nearly 100 health centers were constructed under a total of P405-million fund allotted on the 2018 Health Facilities Enhancement Program of the Department of Health.
