Police seized over P1 million worth of illegal drugs from eight suspects in Barangay Guadalupe Viejo, Makati City on Monday, April 17. ManilaBulletin
In a report to the Southern Police District , the Makati City Police Station identified the suspects as Jake Dela Vega, 24; Ryan Sularte, 38, a security guard; Roderick Gayacao, 53; Amador Romasanta, 52; Kaitlyn Gabaya, 25; Mary Grace Roldan, 38; Rose Ann Lopez, 36; and Joy Espayos, 40.
They were arrested at 4:20 a.m. on Bernardino Street, Laperal Compound in Barangay Guadalupe Viejo, Makati City. Initial investigation showed that a concerned citizen filed a complaint against the suspects with the Makati CPS Poblacion sub-station. Personnel of the sub-station responded to the complaint and found the suspects engaged in a game of cara y cruz.While conducting a procedural body search of the suspects, police also recovered eight medium and seven small plastic sachets containing around 164.93 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1,121,524.The case was referred to the Investigation and Detection Management of the Makati police.
They are facing charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002,” and Presidential Decree No. 1602 on illegal gambling.
