The announcement was made on Thursday, June 8 in New Delhi by chairperson and CEO of the Miss World Organization Julia Morley and reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska.
The Miss World Organization also revealed that it chose India as the host country as it"recognizes the nation's rich cultural heritage, its commitment to promoting diversity, and its passion for empowering women."
