The first batch of locally stranded individuals (LSI), who applied in the Alis Cagayan Program of the Cagayan provincial government, is now in Manila.
Provincial Administrator Colonel Darwin Sacramed said the Alis Cagayan Program is an initiative of the provincial government to help individuals who have been stranded in the province since the imposition of the enhanced community quarantine in the country on March 17.
On June 3, 66 of these stranded individuals boarded three buses, with each bus carrying 22 passengers. Sacramed said the technical working group of Alis Cagayan Program made sure that the passengers observed physical distancing inside the bus, in compliance with the guidelines of the Inter-Agency Task Force .
Each passenger carried necessary documents like health certificate and the required travel authority. “Walang binayaran ang mga nag-avail ng program na ito at ang tatlong bus na ito ay siya ring susundo ngayon sa mga pauwing Cagayanos na nastranded sa Manila sa ilalim ng ating Balik Cagayan Program (Those who availed of the program did not pay anything… the three buses will also be the same ones that will fetch the stranded Cagayanons in Manila, which is under our Balik Cagayan Program,” Sacramed said.
