The Commission on Elections in this city said 30 candidates are running for barangay chairman and 30 for SK chairman.On Saturday, September 16, the Batangas police spearheaded a unity walk and signing of a peace covenant to ensure a peaceful, honest, and fair elections. Batangas police chief Police Col. Samson Belmonte led the event which affirmed the duties and responsibilities of Comelec officials, non-government organizations, related government agencies, and security forces on October 30.
