The Philippine Coast Guard reported that it has rescued five Japanese crew members from a distressed ship in Oriental Mindoro.
Around 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, the PCG said MV Catriona had an accident then took on water and tilted to its side in waters off Navotas in Calapan, Oriental Mindoro. The PCG said BRP Habagat successfully located the distressed vessel and reported that all rescued crewmen are in good physical condition.“While underway, MV Catriona was accidentally damaged, causing the vessel to list,” PCG report read.The following are the rescued crew members:
