The 49 police officers believed to be involved in the alleged cover-up of the drug raid last October 2022 were disarmed and recommended to be charged with administrative and criminal charges.

According to Jun Veneracion's report on "24 Oras," former police Drug Enforcement Group Director Brigadier General Narciso Domingo on Friday said he and 48 other policemen were asked to surrender their service firearm.

According to the Special Investigation Task Group 990, the disarming of the police officers was under PNP chief Rodolfo Azurin Jr.'s verbal instruction, which also includes filing administrative and criminal charges against Domingo and the other operatives. Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos said he is confident that the National Police Commission will thoroughly investigate the case.
