Within 20 months of her initial interactions with police, she had racked up a myriad of charges.
On Nov. 18, 2020, she forced her way, via a back window, into her ex-partner's residence, Ontario Court Justice Romuald Kwolek heard.On Dec. 11, 2020, Makinson stole a debit machine from the front office of the Satellite Motel on Great Northen Road, prosecutor Robert Skeggs said.The machine was located in the motel room where she was living.
A woman in a yellow dress was spotted with one of their firearms, and she was attempting to leave with a bag. One of them snapped a photograph of her and it was a clear depiction of Makinson's face, he said. On Nov. 9, 2021, she vandalized a number of customers' vehicles at Highland Ford, smashing windows, causing a few thousand dollars in damage.She stole a Canadian Tire credit card from one of the vehicles, and also purloined a pair of $500 snakeskin cowboy boots.
"A huge amount of people were victimized" by Makinson, the Crown said, calling the break-ins problematic and serious offences.The firearm "fortunately" was retrieved by the hunters before "it got out on the street," Skeggs said."I feel better now and I can do better."
