(UPDATE) ANTIPOLO, Rizal — Four people were killed and two others were rescued after a landslide hit a village here on Wednesday, the Bureau of Fire Protection in this city said Thursday.
ANTIPOLO, Rizal — Four people were killed and two others were rescued after a landslide hit a village here on Wednesday, the Bureau of Fire Protection in this city said Thursday.Local fire and rescue volunteers said the landslide happened at a construction site in Fairmount Hills Subdivision, Barangay Dela Paz at 4:40 p.m. on Wednesday. They also said three were injured.
The BFP had not released any statement on the cause of the landslide.'This station would like to express our deepest sympathies to the bereaved families of the victims,' it added.The Dela Paz Radio and Communication Group Fire and Rescue Volunteer in Antipolo City, meanwhile, said the number of injured individuals has gone up to three.They likewise said in their social media account that the 'soil erosion was due to a construction-related excavation.
