“The National ID has already begun to simplify travel and immigration verification, making it easier for citizens to connect. It will enable the financial inclusion and efficient distribution of vital assistance to our most vulnerable communities. And it will only get more efficient and responsive,” Go said.
Over 87 million Filipinos who have registered to the National ID are now capable of accessing their Digital National ID online and be verified through stronger authentication platforms such as the National ID eVerify and National ID Check. Mapa said some 87.6 million Filipinos have already been registered in the National ID. With a population of 113 million projected by July 2024, there is a balance of 25 million.
