Three more phreatomagmatic bursts were recorded in Taal Volcano in the past 24 hours, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said Friday.

In its report of its observation from 5 a.m. on Thursday to 5. a.m. Friday, PHIVOLCS said the phreatomagmatic bursts occurred at 10:39 a.m., 10:47 a.m., and 10:55 a.m.

PHIVOLCS raised Alert Level 3, signifying magmatic unrest, over Taal Volcano on Saturday morning following On Tuesday, PHIVOLCS chief Undersecretary Renato Solidum Jr. said Taal Volcano may be downgraded to Alert Level 2, signifying increasing unrest, within the next two weeks if the situation improves.
