The Supreme Court of the Philippines is set to administer the oath to 3,962 successful candidates of the 2024 online Bar examinations on January 24th. Topnotcher Kyle Christian G. Tutor, a University of the Philippines law graduate, will lead the new lawyers who will officially join the legal profession.
A total of 3,962 examinees who passed the 2024 online Bar examinations administered by the Supreme Court (SC) last September are set to take their oath on January 24 to become full-fledged lawyers.SC Spokesperson lawyer Camille Sue Mae L. Ting said that after the oath taking, the new lawyers will sign the Roll of Attorneys. The Bar passers will take their oath before the SC as a full court. The 2024 Bar examinations committee was headed by SC Associate Justice Mario V. Lopez.
Justice Lopez had earlier said: “The new lawyers will become the new advocates of justice and truth. They will join the ranks of esteemed legal professionals who will shape society and champion the rights of the people.” The 3,962 Bar passers who will take their oath as lawyers will be led by topnotcher University of the Philippines (UP) law graduate Kyle Christian G. Tutor who got a grade of 85.77 percent. The other topnotchers are Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) law graduate Maria Chrstina S. Aniceto at second place with 85.48 percent and Angeles University Foundation law graduate Gerald C. Roxas at third place with 84.355 percent. The fourth to sixth spots were filled by UP law graduates John Philippe E. Chua, 84.28 percent; Jet Ryan P. Nicolas, 84.265 percent; and Maria Lovelyn Joyce S. Quebrar, 84.06 percent. The other 10 topnotchers are Joji S. Macadine from the University of Mindanao, 83.745 percent; Gregorio Jose S. Torres II of Western Mindanao State University, 83.59 percent; and Raya B. Victorio of San Beda University, 83.47 percent. Those in the top 20 rankings are Paolo Antonio V. Gerpacio from AdMU, 83.455 percent; Andrew Gil B. Ambray from the University of Sto. Tomas, 83.445 percent; Marielle Janine Joy T. Macarilay from AdMU, 83.275 percent; John Daniel D. Hamoy from the University of San Carlos, 83.135 percent; Therese Bianca N.
