Eastern Visayas has recorded 32 fresh cases of the COVID-19 on Friday, bringing the total number of patients in the region to 757. | joeygabietaINQ
Of the 32 new cases, 29 are locally stranded individuals while three were overseas workers who returned from Saudi Arabia.The town of Merida in Leyte registered its first five COVID-19 cases, said Dr. Evania Galleta, municipal health officer.
According to Galleta, all of the cases involved construction workers who arrived in Merida from Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu on July 14.
