The Philippine National Police will deploy about 2000 personnel in different provinces to provide public safety and police visibility in schools, colleges, universities and its nearby areas in the opening of classes on Monday, Aug. 22.

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO CITY, Pampanga – Police Regional Office 3 is all geared up to provide the utmost assistance to students who are returning to schools for the first time since the declaration of COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020 resulted in the suspension of practically all social gatherings in most countries in the world.

The Police officials here said that the guidelines were already established in accordance with ‘IMPLAN 22/2023 Ligtas Balik-Eskwela 2022,’ a directive from the National Headquarters that is being conducted annually. On Friday, Police Assistance Desks manned by a team with a police commissioned officer as its leader, were established in every school as early to pre-empt and respond for any eventuality.

Some field officers were directed to personally visit different schools and coordinate with school officials in order to deter lawless elements from doing illegal activities such as hold-up, pick-pocketing, snatching, drug pushing and even kidnapping. As expected, the volume of students will travel to and from various schools in the different cities/provinces.
