A Baguio court has found two cadets of the Philippine Military Academy guilty of murder, while another one was convicted of hazing in connection to the September 2019 death of Darwin Dormitorio, his family said on Friday.
A segment of the decision shared by Darwin’s brother, Dexter Dormitorio, revealed that Baguio Regional Trial Court Branch 5 convicted Shalimar Imperial Jr. and Felix Lumbag Jr. of violating the Anti-Hazing Act of 2018 and of murder. Meanwhile, the Court found Julius Carlo Tadena guilty of violating the Anti-Hazing Act. All three were sentenced to reclusion perpetua or up to 40 years of imprisonment.Additionally, they were ordered to jointly and severally pay Dormitorio’s heirs P75,000 in civil indemnity, P75,000 in moral damages, P25,000 in temperate damages, and P100,000 in attorney’s fees.“We dedicate the win to Darwin and his father Col.
