Police seized a total of P714,000 worth of suspected shabu from two drug suspects during a buy-bust operation in Caloocan City on Friday, Jan. 6.

Lt. Col. Renato Castillo, Northern Police District-District Drug Enforcement Unit chief, identified the suspects as Farok Carnabal and Akim Basher, both 18, and tagged as high-value individuals .

According to the police report, the buy-bust operation was conducted by NPD-DDEU at about 2:05 p.m. on Friday.Recovered from the suspects were two knot-tied transparent plastic bags and a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing 105 grams of “shabu” worth P714,000. The arrested suspects were brought to the NPD-DDEU office for filing of charges related to violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said.
