Two gunrunners in Lanao del Sur were nabbed by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group , it was reported Wednesday.According to Emil Sumangil’s exclusive report on 24 Oras, the heavily armed arresting team was in full battle gear during the operation when they apprehended the two suspects during an entrapment operation.One suspect tried to run away. They also tried to hide the weapons that they were supposed to sell but the authorities were able to recover them.
“Tatlo ang nakuha natin na firearms, high powered, dalawang M14, isang M16, several rounds of ammos and magazines,” said Police Colonel Ariel Huesca, Regional Chief, CIDG-BAR, Regional Field Unit.“Based sa initial visual and physical examination, may indication na yung mga serial numbers ay… tampered,” said Huesca.The suspects, who reportedly sell weapons online, were arrested in the town of Malabang in Lanao del Sur. “Sila nag set ng venue ng delivery, marami siyang kasama.
