TWO of the nine soldiers killed in the Fort Campbell, Kentucky crash involving two Black Hawk helicopters last Wednesday were Filipino-Americans.
The United States Army released on Friday the names of the victims that included Sgt. Isaac John Gayo and Cpl. Emilie Marie Eve Bolanos.Born in the Philippines on Sept. 1, 1995, the 27-year-old Gayo enlisted in the US Army from Los Angeles, California in 2019. He attended basic training in Fort Jackson, South Carolina and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Eustis, Virginia eventually graduating from the Basic Leader Course, Air Assault School and received a Field Sanitation Team Certification.
