Authorities on Saturday morning unearthed two bodies in a lot in Capas, Tarlac which are believed to be that of missing Mutya ng Pilipinas-Pampanga candidate Geneva Lopez and her Israeli boyfriend Yitshak Cohen , the Central Luzon police said in a spot report.According to the report by the regional Criminal Investigation and Detection Group , authorities examined the parcel of land in Brgy. Sta Lucia, Capas based on a search warrant in relation to the missing victims.
Dennis Pineda posted on Facebook that the remains were those of Lopez and Cohen. Pineda said the police were able to identify the bodies were based on the victims' clothes and personal belongings.The cadavers will be subjected to DNA analysis, the CIDG said. Meanwhile, the National Bureau of Investigation will conduct an autopsy on the recovered bodies, the news bulletin added.GMA Integrated News has reached out to the Lopez and Cohen families about the matter.
