Belmont Hotel and Savoy Hotel Boracay in Boracay Newcoast participates in the protection and release of almost 80 Olive Ridley Sea Turtle hatchlings thriving within their area“Habits are powerful, and the right ones are life changing” says Eden Decano, Group Director of Finance and also Megaworld Hotels & Resorts’ champion for sustainability efforts.

Talking about their admirable efforts, Decano shares that the internal campaign focused on ten goals: local community and people, good employment, reducing energy use and carbon footprint, climate adaptation, avoiding waste and plastics, less pollution and noise, green products and business, nature scenery and animals, culture and sense of place, and lastly management and information.

At the end of the 30-day challenge, all 2,000 employees made thousands of good deeds for the earth! All efforts are in initial engagement with the Good Travel Program, an organization that offers a variety of tools to assess, support and certify the sustainability of business in the tourism sector.
