BACOLOD CITY – One-hundred ninety-seven vendors here have secured permits to sell flowers for All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day from October 29 to November 2.
Pacifico Maghari III, city administrator, said these vendors have paid P400 to secure permits to enable them to sell flowers, candles, and other goods at the Bacolod public plaza, on Gonzaga and San Juan Streets, and areas on Libertad St. along Hernaez St. and Mabini St. across Jollibee, Burgos Market on Burgos St. and Burgos Cemetery inside the closed road.
Maghari said that those who fail to secure a special permit are not allowed to sell in these areas but he said that application for permits is ongoing. He said these vendors are monitored by the Public Order and Safety Office and City Legal Enforcement Team to ensure order in designated areas. The Local Market Committee tasked the POSO and the City Legal Office to monitor the one-meter-by-one-meter compliance of vendors.
